Georgia: 12.10.2010 Georgia and Israel lift visa regime

Georgia and Israel have agreed on lifting the visa regime for tourists from 2011.

“Georgian citizens will enjoy visa free regime with Israel from 2011,” Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Veronika Kobalia announced at the meeting with the Minister of Tourism of Israel, Stas Mizezhinkov. The Georgian side open its border for Israeli citizens a year ago and benefits from the growth of Israeli tourists visiting Georgia. The government supposes the number of Jewish tourists in Georgia – increased by 100% in 2010 – will twice increase the next year.
