Azerbaijan: 26.01.2011 Cecilia Malmström: Visa regime negotiations with Azerbaijan to start this summer
According to the EU commissioner Cecilia Malmström, the talks aiming for the facilitation of the visa regime and on readmission between Armenia and Azerbaijan will start this summer.
During her visit to Moldova, EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmström said that the negotiations to facilitate visa regime with Azerbaijan will start this year.

Since the beginning of the Eastern Partnership program the relations between Azerbaijan and EU have reached a brand new level. The program does not prepare ground for the membership in the EU, but it envisions facilitations in the visa regime, cooperation in energy sector and introduction of free trade areas.
