Belarus: 20.01.2011 The European Parliament adopted resolution on situation in Belarus
The European Parliament resolution of 20 January 2011 on the situation in Belarus imposes a visa ban on Belarusian officials.
In the resolution the European Parliament calls on the Council, the Commission and the EU High Representative to review EU policy towards Belarus.

Authorities of EU member states must not issue visas for Belarus’ leaders, state officials, members of the judiciary and the security services responsible for the rigged election and brutal repressions, including arrests of the opposition members afterwards. The ban is binding until all political prisoners and detainees are cleared of charges or released.
