Armenia-EU negotiations over simplification of visa regime are to be launched soon, European experts said on Wednesday as they met with Armenian National Security Committee Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan.

According to the Ccommittee’s press office, the negotiations will be held in several stages: first on Armenian authorities will present the preliminary version of an agreement presented by Armenian authorities, then three- or four-phase negotiations, and the achievement of an accord on the agreement’s content and bilateral ratification.
This agreement will simplify and speed up the procedures necessary for visits of official delegations, businessmen, students, scientists, journalists, participants of sport competitions and citizens travelling to EU countries to visitsee their relatives.
