Belarus: 11.02.2011 Free visas to Germany and Estonia for Belarusians
On 4 February Germany launched changes in the process of issuing national visas for Belarusians. They will no longer need to show up in a consulate.
National visas are issued to the citizens of Belarus who wish to stay in Germany longer that three months. New regulations will not change the rules of issuing short-stay Schengen visas, both private and business, valid for up to 90 days within each 180 days. German government supports Belarusian citizens and their approach to visa policy.
Estonia intends to waive fees for long-stay visas for Belarusians from 1 March. This type of visa entitles its holder to stay in Estonia for up to 180 days. Estonian Foreign Minister expressed his support for the citizens of Belarus.
Before Germany and Estonia, visa facilitations have been introduced by Poland and Latvia.
