Belarus has already signed agreements concerning local border traffic with Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. When the mechanism is put into motion on Lithuanian border, similar procedures will be introduced in the case of Latvia and Poland. The agreement on simplification of visa regime with Lithuania has already been ratified, unlike the agreement with Poland. Belarus has been postponing its ratification for several months, despite the fact that the ratification procedure has been completed by Polish authorities.
