In an interview published by website Novisa.az German ambassador to Azerbaijan, Herbert Quelle presented Germany’s position on the subject of easing the visa regime. He reminded that the European Commission has not yet issued a mandate for negotiating visa facilitations with Azerbaijan and other countries of the region. Mr. Quelle assured however, that “until an agreement between Azerbaijan and the EU is reached, the German embassy will continue to be as effective and efficient as possible in assisting Azerbaijani officials and the general public to get visas for travel to Germany.”
