President of Ukraine vetoes law on documents
On October 21, 2011 President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, vetoed the law on documents that prove identity and citizenship of Ukraine.
President Viktor Yanukovych decided not to sign the bill and returned it to the Verkhovna Rada with proposals for reconsideration explaining that it “carries violations risks of constitutional rights and guarantees of these rights, of universally recognised human rights, fundamental principles of a democratic constitutional state that Ukraine is.”
