The meeting of the Coordination Center of the Action Plan on the liberalization of EU visa regime for Ukraine has been held

On March 15, 2012 the First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi held the eighth meeting of the Coordination Center of the Action Plan on the liberalization of EU visa regime for Ukraine.

Authorities of Ukraine shall ensure compliance with the instructions of the President of Ukraine to adopt regulations under the ActionPlan with the EU visa regime liberalization by the end of April, Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi said at the beginning of the meeting.

He drew particular attention on the need for the passage of the bill in the Parliament on documents with biometric data and bills on the fight against corruption. “The introduction of biometric documents for travel abroad is a technical challenge. On this issue is clear political will of the President and the revised EU government bill. Any lobbying games on this issue are irrelevant”- the First vice Prime Minister said.

During the meeting was the discussed in detail ways of creating anti-corruption body with the requirements of GRECO. Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi has instructed relevant bodies of executive power for processing a compromise bill on the subject.

Special attention was paid to the completion of legislative work in the areas of migration management and improvement of protection of personal data. The First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine has commissioned soon put to the Government the State Program on combating anti-human-trafficking.
