Armenia’s FM offers holding 3rd Eastern Partnership ministerial meeting in Yerevan

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Tuesday attended the informal meeting of the FMs of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) member states. The event kicked off in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi.

Addressing the assembly, Nalbandian presented the progress Armenia achieved within the framework of the EaP, and stressed the Armenian party’s objective to finalize the Armenia-EU Association Agreement and the talks with respect to creating the Armenia-EU Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, prior to the EaP summit to be held in Vilnius in fall.

The minister also noted that Armenia plans to hold, in capital city Yerevan, several events in the domains of justice, and youth and education exchanges.

He underscored the visa relaxation agreement that was signed between the EU and Armenia, and the launch of the process of liberalizing visa requirements.

Also, Armenia’s FM reconfirmed his country’s readiness to hold the third Eastern Partnership foreign ministerial informal meeting in Yerevan, this September.
