Parliament of Azerbaijan Ratifies Visa Facilitation Agreement with EU
Azerbaijan has ratified an agreement on simplification of rules with the European Union. The key goal of the document is to ease visa rules which stipulate that EU and Azerbaijani citizens could only stay for up to 90 days in a 180-day period on a bilateral basis, MP, chairman of international relations and inter-parliamentary ties committee Samad Seyidov said.
Eased visa rules are applied to citizens of European Union and Azerbaijan under legislation of Azerbaijan and EU member states.
Issues like a refusal to ease a visa, recognition of travel documents, a proof on insufficient funds for a residence, a ban to entrance and deportation measures which are not covered by the agreement are regulated under legislation of Azerbaijan and national legislation of member states as well as EU laws.
