Polish MFA Deputy Minister Meets with Representatives of Eastern Partnership Countries

Tomasz Orłowski met with Ambassadors of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine in Warsaw on Monday.

During the meeting, the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy referred to his last week’s visits to three Caucasian Eastern Partnership countries. He stressed the need to adopt a more diversified approach towards the EaP countries, one that would account for their individual progress in implementing reforms, their need to cooperate with the EU and their expectations with respect to the pace of the integration processes. Tomasz Orłowski also said that he is planning to visit Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus at the turn of October.

Deputy Minister Tomasz Orłowski outlined the most important accomplishments of the Eastern Partnership, such as the signing of Association Agreements with Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, and the gradually progressing process of visa liberalisation.

He also discussed key issues relating to the current situation in the EaP area, including the growing importance of security and stability issues, as well as the 4th EaP Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Riga in May 2015.

The deputy minister declared his readiness to hold regular meetings with Ambassadors from the Eastern Partnership countries in Warsaw.
