Journalist Rikard Jozwiak focusing on the procedure of visa liberalization for Ukraine and Georgia claims that visa waiver for Ukraine will enter into force on June, 12 and for Georgia – on March, 29.
“It is estimated that visa liberalization will enter into force on 29 of March for Georgia and 12 of June for Ukraine” – he wrote on Twitter.
Yesterday he noticed that trilogue on visa waiver for Ukraine would take place on February, 28, immediately after suspension mechanism was adopted by Council of the EU.
Earlier COREPER has stated that trilogue on visa waiver for Ukraine should start after the revised suspension mechanism is adopted by EU institutions. Also, according to the decision of COREPER, the visa waiver for Georgia should enter into force on the same date as the review of the visa suspension mechanism, which was approved by Parliament on 15 of December
