EU moves forward visa liberalization for Georgia, Ukraine

European Union officials signed documents regarding visa liberalization for Georgia on March 1 following decision by the Council of the EU on February, 27.

On the 28th of February representatives of European Parliament and Council of the EU during so-called “trilogue” agreed positions regarding visa-free travelling for the citizens of Ukraine.

Visa waiver for Georgia is supposed to come into force on March, 28. Decision and coming into force of Ukrainian visa waiver is expected in May-June.
