Further visa facilitations between Ukraine and Poland

According to the new agreement between Poland and Ukraine, the number of documents necessary to apply for a Schengen visa has been significantly decreased.

Oleksandr Dikusarov, spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, announced that according to the new agreement between Poland and Ukraine citizents applying to obtain a Schengen visa will no longer have to submit many of the documents previously required for the application. These include for example bank statement and employment record book.

Mr. Dikusarov said that Ukraine is currently conducting negotiations with other EU states concerning further simplification of visa procedures, both at the bilateral level and through amendments to the EU-Ukraine visa facilitation agreement.
