Facilitated Moldova-Transnistria travel regime to be observed during Easter holidays

Prime Minister of Moldova – Vlad Filat

“Prime Minister Vlad Filat today signed an instruction on the free and save movement of citizens on Moldovan territory, including between the two banks of the Dniester river, during the Easter Holidays” – the government’s communication and press relations department has said.

To ensure the needed conditions for the free and safe movement of the Moldovan citizens, the prime minister asked all the relevant state institutions to facilitate the movement of citizens throughout the country, including between the two banks of the Dniester river.

The facilitated travel regime will be observed during the Easter Holidays (14-16 April) and on the Easter of the Departed (21-23 April). On these days, all the residents of the Transnistrian region will be able to freely travel to the right bank of the Dniester.

The Moldovan authorities have expressed hope that the Transnistrian representatives will undertake similar actions concerning all the citizens residing on the right bank of the Dniester, in order to further step up the atmosphere of mutual confidence.
