EU Launches Technical Assistance Project to Support Implementation of DCFTA in Moldova

The EU has launched a new technical assistance project in support of the implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) in Moldova, which targets assistance in the areas of infrastructure, market surveillance, small and medium sized enterprise promotion, export development and foreign investment attraction, and creating awareness on the DCFTA.

The official launch gathered together over 30 participants including Moldovan and EU officials, and experts from the project.

The EU Ambassador to Moldova, Pirkka Tapiola, said this assistance would contribute to the successful implementation of a key element of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, namely the DCFTA, ultimately leading to more exports from Moldova to the EU and the creation of new jobs in the country, especially jobs for women.
